DEMOGORGON were formed in March 1999 from the ashes of a previous band called AVATAR.
In January 2002 the band entered Cork’s BPM studio to record the debut demo.
They made their live debut the following July as support to CARNÚN RISING and HEXXED at Cork’s Nancy Spain’s. They also headlined the 2nd ’Carnage at the Castle’ underground open air show in August 2004.
It was around this time that they changed the band name to ACOLYTES OF DEMOGORGON. Rehearsals have been conducted sporadically in the time since, and new material has been written for recording purposes.

Combines a lot of influences/styles/subgenres but in a way that totally makes sense in an unexpected way. The more folky/quiet parts have a lot of tension and direction which I think is a rare skill!
