SYNAPSE formed in mid 1991 as a four piece. They recorded their debut demo 'The Awakening' in 1991. This is their second demo 'The Cries of the Unborn' which was released in 1993 and included Alan Duffy as a second guitarist in the line-up.

I bought this album back in the days just based on the cover, and man - what a gem this turned out to be. Crushing and melodic guitar work, thundering drums, atmospheric keyboards and roaring vocal. The end result is a superb melodic death metal - A true gem! Sagoth

Combines a lot of influences/styles/subgenres but in a way that totally makes sense in an unexpected way. The more folky/quiet parts have a lot of tension and direction which I think is a rare skill! Giles
